There's some faith in Welsh transport infrastructure that is heartening, if misplaced.

Yes it's annoying that I'm agreeing with a Tory, more so that I'm agreeing with someone from Swansea.

It's incredibly annoying that modern life has worked out in such a way as I keep agreeing with Michael Heseltine on stuff.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social asks Lord Heseltine about remarks he made at Conservative Party Conference.

Absolutely no sign of any rock star who used to be a taxi driver except for Paul Stanley from Kiss and I'm pretty sure I haven't mixed him up with a working class northerner. This is bizarre. I've hallucinated a fact completely from nowhere.

Eric Burdon, also not a taxi driver. This is going to send me mad, surely I haven't just made this up.

I have thought for years that Joe Cocker was a cab driver in Sheffield before he got famous but apparently not, so apologies to anyone I've ever misled with that "fun fact" and also does anyone know of any grit-voiced English rhythm and blues singers of the 60s I've possibly mixed him up with.

🐹 Before viral videos on TikTok or YouTube, there was Hampsterdance.

Full of dancing hamster GIFs & a sped-up tune, it became one of the internet’s first viral hits.

You can still dance to it on the #WaybackMachine ➡️ web.archive.org/web/19991222...

Right. Apologies for the delay. Really didn’t expect so much interest in a grumpy little Welsh owl so thank you for all the kind words - I’ve loved reading some of your own rescue stories.

Lots of you had rehab-related questions so thought I’d tackle the big ones here in one looong thread… 🧵

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵
