Very neat. I also built floating shelves but they weren’t thick enough to cut keyhole inserts at the back so the screws have to go through and remain visible. Here I hide them with decorative items.

Your approach makes me think I’ll try to find a keyhole solution next time.

Thank you. This was very useful, in particular the last comment on this thread.

I have not found examples of other products from S. Bent & Bros featuring the curved armrests turning into spindles. They are probably quite modern.
