Our lab had a great time at the IBSE Microbiome Symposium. Looking forward to this in the future again.

NEW: Sources tell my office that Treasury Secretary Bessent has granted DOGE *full* access to this system. Social Security and Medicare benefits, grants, payments to government contractors, including those that compete directly with Musk's own companies. All of it.

I made a 2024 resolution to watch 100 movies new to me. I ended up watching 101! And then because I am nerd I decided to turn my movies into figures and data!

I did all this in R, which allowed me to make new figures and challenge my skills! I used all the Wes Anderson color package.

After 24 years of work, I’m thrilled to announce the TYMEFLIES dataset, which comprises metagenomes from Lake Mendota (Madison, WI), collected roughly every 10 days (471 samples) for 20 years! @quendi.bsky.social @robinrohwer.bsky.social
