Well, it's been quite a year. Eight months have passed without posting, and what a crazy eight months it has been. In short, I was laid off on Valentine's Day (if you know, you know), got a new job, and navigated a new world of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty. But the words shall continue!

I have misophonia (which doesn't work well with my ADHD), and during a meeting today there was NOISE. Clicking of pens, tapping of hands on a chair, clicking of a mouse, smacking of lips, multiple people talking all at once... it became too much.

Does it count as writing if you think about your WIP at work?

Time to introduce one of my main projects (I have so many but let's focus on one at a time): "Midnight Bakery". It's a bit cozy fantasy, bit dark fantasy - perfect blend of Dark Cozy. The summary is below:

To the authors / artists / game devs / fiber artists / musicians out there thinking "how can I possibly promote my works NOW? is it even ethical to ask people to spend their limited money on my creative works?"

Art is necessary. Expression is necessary. It's basic survival for the soul/spirit/mind.

Maggie grew up fascinated by science and biology, which led her to the career path that involved diving for freshwater mussels, wading in deep water for alligator gar, and hiking hundreds of miles to search for an elusive high-elevation toad.
