When the waitress dropped off their bill, Kalie scooped it up and silently slipped her credit card in the slot. “Why don't you let me get this one?” Sam reached for his wallet. “No.” She set the bill folder down on the edge of the table. “Well, how much do I owe you?” She adopted a wicked smile. “Nothing, your money's no-good tonight.” “Let me leave the tip?” “You're going to give me a lot more than the tip.” She patted his hand. Sam snorted a laugh and covered his face with his hands. His absolute cutest expressions emerged when he was a tad flustered. Kalie lifted her chin. “I say I’m taking care of you tonight.” “Is this you domming me?” Sam chuckled quietly, clearly a joke on his end. She rested her chin on her fingers as she leaned in. “You could view this one of two ways. Either your friend feels like treating you to dinner, or,” she paused for dramatic effect, having planned the next words. “Or I'm just taking care of my favorite new toy.” Her not-date’s eyes grew wide as his face flushed further. He looked around and leaned forward to speak softly, “That...that sounded really hot.” Kalie tried her best to keep a straight face, but laughter sat just behind her teeth. “I’m going to be honest; I’ve been sitting on that line awhile.” His gray eyes reflected off the faux lantern hanging from the ceiling. He didn’t appear anxious, just focused; that shifting balance sent Kalie’s giggles bubbling to the surface. She erupted in nervous laughter, “I’m sorry, did I at least sound cool a second ago?”

Just thinking about how red delicious apples are a scam. Like not once has anyone bit into a red delicious and been happy with their choice of apple variety.

I love apples, granny Smith, Macintosh, honey crisp etc, but red delicious is atrocious.

Petition to call them red disappointment.

In a book about a writer who is kidnapped and forced into writing a manuscript...there's a scene that takes place the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
Therefore, I have to market the book today (and tomorrow because there's also a Thanksgiving scene).

Nobody's clamouring for AI games, nobody's mad that games don't feature AI, there's a total and utter lack of demand for it. The only demand is from business heads who think it'll save them money, audiences and creatives are rejecting it.
