In some ways immigration policies/enforcement have been lax for a long time. Biden's approach was a practical/political disaster. Tightening was needed. Alas, fascists arrive & act like the Gestapo, overplay their hand, and there's a backlash. But Dems, in their anger, should not copy Biden.
This has to be right up with one of America’s darkest time. ICE KILLING Americans, arresting honest hard working immigrants, similar to the same white immigrants arresting them.

This idea that asylum-seekers can be let into the country and move around as they wish, work, get public-housing subsidies fr cities, etc. has got to change. The system seems too loose; asylum seekers (many of whom have dubious claims) disappear, decisions take too long. It needs to be tightened.

I will say this about #Minnesota & other states: There's no excuse for not spotting rampant fraud involving social spending. There should be well-funded, strongly staffed agencies that vet all groups getting state/federal money. It IS an old problem w/Democratically-run cities, in particular.
