It's track does not indicate any such inspection yet. Will the #DMA seize this opportunity?
What's your bet?

Make it flag of convenience though ;-)

On that note - about half of all #shadowfleet tankers that re-flagged in the past 14 days moved to Cameroon's registry. But over to @michellewb.bsky.social or @starboardintelligence.com to give us the full account.

The #RUNA (IMO9314882) seems to have gotten the message. Let's see what it will go for.
#shadowfleet.

Thanks for sharing these documents, Chris. Super helpful.

Yes, if it is clear that it flies this flag without legitimation. As it is e.g. for the vessels on the list that @pa.nton.cx shared. They can be boarded and inspected.

Yes, we have seen that before. It's where they pick up the pilot, before going back on Route T

It got visited by the EE pollution control vessel Lotos (IMO8846711). It's not even listed by Lloyd's as belonging to the #shadowfleet, so might not have had anything to fear and just heeded a call by EE authorities? Interesting nevertheless.

Most of these vessels got their class before they got sanctioned, I assume. Would a renewal by an EU based company like #Rina comply with the sanctions?

Another good reason to stop this highly destructive fishing method.

That could explain, indeed.

Yes, from the tankers I checked, many are still in service actually. Quite a mess still on MT and Seasearcher.
November 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Seasearcher left, MT right. I check one of these tankers and its last port call is given with April, 15. No AIS signal since. Did they use out-of-service ships for this?
November 10, 2025 at 3:22 PM
You mentioned that the attack affected MT and Vesselfinder, right? While MT looks 'normal' again, Seasearcher still shows these vessels at their spoofed Nov 2 position, incl. many shadow fleet tanker, that I just look at and that got me into this.

Odd behaviour for a #falseflagged vessel, indeed. It picked up a pilot (together with product tanker Energy Ariadne) to then change course back to route T. In the Skagen TSS, these tankers regularly cross DK's territorial waters. With no consequences.
