I'm really happy with how this came out!

(This is a new version of majcher.itch.io/40-days that I lightly redesigned and laid out for the 2025 Climate Change Theater Action festival.)

A trifold rpg zine entitled 40 Days Deep. "The village is flooding. You are the only one who acknowledges the rising waters. Stop the flood, or drown. A game of Denial for 3-6 players." The cover has an illustration of a person in a suit standing knee-deep in water.

Unexpectedly rustled up a bounty on my walk through the woods this morning—some fresh chicken of the woods (which I’m having for breakfast), bears head tooth, turkey tail, and found since chaga for the first time!

(Also grabbed some peppers and tomats from the community garden, before it all goes.)

i think a lot of conversations about whether or not a game "is safe" would be more productively shaped by:

- how risky is this game
- are players aware of and consenting to this risk
- what are tools players can use to mitigate risk
