Last night we went to a showing of Muppet Christmas Carol at a local theater and it was my first time seeing it on the big screen and until then I did not realize that Rizzo's smock in this episode is in fact SMOCKED. To scale. Incredible costumes.

Made some veggie enchiladas. The filling is summer squash past its prime, rinsed black beans, and bell pepper also slightly past prime. Oh and cheese. I layer it like lasagna because I'm terrible at rolling them.

Since I seem to be permanently cat trapped today I am alternating between knitting and sewing with the idea I will not overtax my hands with either.

The hardest part of knitting socks one at a time is not letting myself get distracted between the first and the second so I made sure to cast on the second sock as soon as I finished the toe of the first. #knitsky

On Saturdays I sit and cook next to the indoor pool for swim lessons and work on my cross stitch. Only been working on this one since 2016.

This evening I knit one square, accepted what I've been pretending not to know and ripped out roughly six squares so I can make the shoulder wider and neckline narrower.

Sewing tip upgrade: the original tip is that silicone earplugs are a perfect substitute for expensive thread conditioner, the upgrade I was recently given was to smoosh the containerless silicone putty between two buttons to keep it tidy.
