Got an email NYE morning asking anyone in my department to log in and do the end-of-month post on a database, so we wouldn't have to deal with the freak out it goes through whenever there's a time change...I do it from home. Come in on the 3rd to clean, find out the database is down anyway.

Speaking of Blur/Damon Albarn, I was aware of who Jamie Hewlett was, before realizing he was half of the duo who created Gorillaz, because I had an art student roommate who liked Tank Girl, but for years, I was under the impression that he was Australian, and I keep forgetting he's not.

The worst biography/autobiography I've ever read was Steven Tyler's. Incoherent as hell then there was that nasty little bit about how the abortion had by the minor under his guardianship that he knocked up was harder on him than it was for her. Just some disgusting shit.

Alex James's autobiography is one of the strangest and most hilarious books I've ever read. You'll start reading a paragraph that doesn't seem like much, but suddenly ends with "so-and-so at that time kept getting hit by cars/this person kept getting set on fire" and you're just like, "WTF????"
