Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce that tapir Yuna gave birth to a rare and endangered Malayan tapir calf Sunday night. The newborn, covered in distinctive white spots and stripes resembling a fuzzy walking watermelon, is only the second tapir born in our 120-year history.

"As a medical practitioner myself, I thought that those working in healthcare were mostly understanding, empathetic and equipped to help their patients. ... I have experienced a lack of understanding, interest and care"

It shatters the illusion, but its not just ME and Long Covid.
We've got a great #ThereForME post today from Rebecca Logan.

Rebecca is a former nurse who shares her experiences of #LongCovid, learning about ME and her work campaigning with Hope 4 ME & Fibro NI

This absolutely terrifies me.

I feel like I have to prepare somehow. I've been looking into proofreading & editing courses. Gosh they're expensive. But I feel I have no choice.

Disabled people are terrified right now. We won't survive. And that's their plan!

It’s a pity this article doesn’t discuss more of the reasons why the existing review is flawed such as the almost complete lack of reporting of objective measures as Michiel Tack, I & others highlighted in our formal comments on the review.

Did you know…
In Elgin in the 17th century, the reformed Kirk was so anti-Christmas that magistrates banned Yuletide footballing, snowballing, piping, dancing and carol-singing!
And one minister took it upon himself to search people’s kitchens for the “superstitious goose”!

#pwME can anyone recommend a specialist who can write a report about me/my condition and my care needs? I live in south Wales. There are none that I know of in Wales and the neurologist who diagnosed me has retired.

So my compliance interview with the DWP for my universal credit has revealed that I have been reported for benefit fraud 🫨🤯 I've just had an 1hr long phonecall answering questions about ludicrous allegations. I know who made the 'anonymous' call. It'll take 'many months' for a decision to be made! 🤯
