Found an old photo of me from Grade 6 and holy shit, my parents were on the bowl cut train 😂 I definitely glowed up and all my hair swapped places, lmao
A young ginger white boy with a crappy bowl cut hairstyle (thanks Mom and Dad) to the left and the far more handsome glow up at 36 years old. His hair line has receded but his beard has grown to be a large ginger one. He also has dual colour glasses with the main frame being purple and the arms being aqua.

Temporary bike lanes on 103 Avenue have blocked access to two Edmonton high-rise buildings with over 500 residents. No public engagement was conducted. Seniors, wheelchair users, emergency vehicles, and deliveries are now restricted. This violates Edmonton's Accessibility Policy, Public Engagement Policy, and The City Plan. Despite outreach, Mayor Andrew Knack has not acknowledged or responded to these concerns. We call on Council to restore safe access and engage affected residents. EdmontonAccessibility

London, Ontario has sooooooo many of these bike lanes pinned between active traffic and turn lanes. I ripped the city a new one in one of my assignments for Urban Planning at Fanshawe (also in London). Some are right beside the campus which is absolutely wild.

@cityofhamilton.bsky.social should send city council to Edmonton for a week to take notes on some of the good urbanism choices they've made. From raised bike lanes and wide sidewalks to detailed map signs and art EVERYWHERE! They also have a working LRT system, what a concept 🤯 #yeg #hamont
119 Avenue raised bike lane portion heading towards Coliseum Station. There are fall colours on the trees, nice raised bike lanes. A nice wide sidewalk in downtown Edmonton. A hyper-detailed context map at the 100 Street Funicular. There is a large context map and a smaller circle showing your immediate surroundings. Beautiful bird art installation at the top entrance of the Edmonton Convention Centre. There are hundreds of hand crafted bronze birds hanging from a glass roof.

Our first full day in our new hometown was absolutely beautiful. It's amazing getting to use a functioning LRT* and to explore this gorgeous city. We put in 29k steps exploring and viewing places to live. We couldn't be happier here. #yeg

Selman is also going off on X/Twitter about this too. The hilarious part is they all went "24/7 security and they couldn't stop someone breaking in" while not reading close enough to see it was originally 24/7 PATROLS, not 24/7 security on just the washroom. And he wants to be a ward councillor 🙄
Andrew Selman not understanding the difference between 24/7 security patrols and 24/7 security on the building specifically. The article from The Public Record which clearly states at the very bottom that "The City had 24/7 security patrols in place when the break-in occurred. The City has now contracted to have two security guards protecting the building at all times." Andrew didn't read past the first paragraph seemingly.
