Having to be constantly on alert for AI sludge is exhausting.

If you wanted to invent a technology to suck the joy out of as many parts of life as possible you'd struggle to do better than this LLM shite.

Dual-booting my Windows 11 machine with Fedora KDE Plasma was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Truly feels like I'm having fun using a computer again, tinkering and figuring out Linux. I'm about to convert my Plex PC over to Debian soon as Windows 10 is dead in the water now.

I'm kinda shocked Danielle Smith hasn't steamrolled ahead with HSR between Calgary and Edmonton just to stick it to the Feds and build HSR first 😆 Would be the only good thing she could ever do and even if it was out of spite, I'll take a fast train any day!

Just checking in on my old hometown and the mayor is using AI slop now 🤦🤦🤦 Please never do this @andrewknack.bsky.social, Edmonton doesn't deserve the slop!

Used the @ualberta.bsky.social transit hub for the first time tonight and well, frankly, it's awful 😔 Why isn't there a single shelter at any of the bus bays? I barely knew this middle median was the bus bay for me. It's laughably bad when so many buses use it. Such an easy fix too!

I don't understand why Edmonton's LRT and ETS in general get so much hate online from both citizens and urbanists alike. We get dumped with snow and the trains keep chugging along. Meanwhile this snow will cripple Toronto's LRT and the SkyTrain both. I just don't get it 🤷

Fuck this, anyone involved in this should burn in hell. People die, that's life, you can't just keep talking to a digital death puppet for 30 years. We're in a dark, dark timeline right now. Truly dystopian and it makes me sick. #aislop #evil
For real, check this out. Evil.

Some Christmas Eve panoramas of the fresh snow in Edmonton by the hospital. Definitely a white Christmas, that's for sure!

Drivers in this city can STFU, the whole place is tailor built for them, there's hardly any traffic jams and parking out the wazoo. Go to Ontario and then come back and complain about driving here. It's a joke how good drivers have it in this province overall.

Jesse Watson (@jesseforyeg on Insta/FB) is such a rage baiting hack. All bluster with no solutions and always responds with 💯🫡🤔 to all the dunces putting "suggestions" in his comments section. Thank god he didn't get elected to council. Guy is a UCP stooge and clown 🤡 #yeg

CARBON CAPTURE IS A MYTH AND NOT A VIABLE CLIMATE SOLUTION! Carney is so hellbent on it and it's maddening. You can't just build more pipelines and use a technology that isn't even viable in the slightest to offset it's nasty side effects. We're a climate joke. #cdnpoli

This piece is pure capitalist slop assigning our only worth to how many ideas we can shit out for more money. There is also not so subtle "population collapse in wealthy countries" talk in here as we're set to hit 10 billion worldwide by 2100. And tons of em dashes, bet they felt so clever. #aislop

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

It's not social media or being Quebecois, it's the neoliberal capitalist meat grinder. "Western Society" is completely failing the moment as AI, fascism and climate change rapidly devastate this planet. Joshua needs to wake up and face reality and quickly if we have any hope of turning this around.
There’s a happiness gap between young people in Quebec and in the rest of Canada - Joshua Bujold, an upbeat psychology student in his first semester at Montreal’s Dawson College, was taken aback to find out that happiness among young Canadians has plunged.

Jasper Ave. desperately needs dedicated bus lanes on both sides. There are 10 buses plus the LRT replacement bus (when needed) that run along it. Not a single one of these buses should ever be getting stuck in traffic. Vehicle drivers can cry me a river! Just slap some red paint down already.

For a true winter city, it shocks me how many do not dress appropriately in Edmonton. Why are you wearing a hoodie and running shoes in -20 with snow and ice everywhere? Are you dumb as rocks? Get some boot spikes/boots with spikes and a proper coat, sheesh.

Will the City of Edmonton work this hard to keep cyclists safe when the province inevitably comes for bike lanes to appease people the never visit Edmonton?

#yegbike
This is REALLY important in Ontario, where a really bad Premier has been attacking cities in many ways, including blocking smart bike infrastructure: “Rather than contravening the Ontario govt by removing vehicle lanes, the City of Toronto is instead planning to narrow them to accommodate bikes.”
'It's a win-win': How Toronto is planning 20km of new bike lanes without defying Ford
The City of Toronto is also planning $30-million worth of infrastructure upgrades, including bike lanes, cycle tracks, and trails.

Moments ago, Premier Danielle Smith's government made a terrifying decision and introduced legislation to suspend the charter-protected rights of transgender young people in Alberta.

Now is the time to act. Visit www.stop-smith.ca to sign our petition denouncing this draconian erosion of freedom.

Omg, would these hacks shut the fuck up about trans women in sports already. How many times does this have to keep happening? You're a transphobe, that's it, stop pretending you're anything else.
