The one today was writing them a ticket (citation?) and I overheard "you didn't pay for the ride and were asleep on the train". Congrats, you just wrote up a homeless person over $3 and sleeping. Those dingbats cost the city far more than the missed fare by a stupid margin all for safety theatre.

Definitely haven't witnessed that yet though I have seen 6 at MacEwan, a mix of Police and Peace Officers. Absolute overkill for people that are, for all intents and purposes, causing zero problems 9 times out of 10.

I did my final project for my Video Game Theory elective course on this very game! It's a truly amazing game still to this day and holds up remarkably well.

I'll add to this, I came from Hamilton where they build ZERO cycling alternate routes and instead detour you into the road so do with that what you will. Is all a matter of perspective. Edmonton can certainly do better but compared to Hamilton, it's paradise here for cycle infrastructure IMO.

It should just be banned for the fact that people willingly waste thousands and thousands of dollars just to make some family members happy cause "it's just what you do" instead of "something you actually want to do". So many people in shit relationships feel guilted into marrying "just cause".

Jasper Ave is wild, the nearby intersection of Jasper and 109 St is a literal deathtrap to cross as a pedestrian. Drivers don't give a shit about you. The other night one pulled into a turn on MY crossing light as I shook my head in disappointment and they flipped me off. Absolute scum.

I live downtown Edmonton and watching idiots park their car on the street and constantly hit the curb is disturbing to say the least. That and they blow through the pedestrian beg button light or stop dead in the middle of the intersection like I did something wrong wanting to cross the road 🤦
