St. Paul candidates, you fools! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
The most famous is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia."

But only slightly less well known is this:
"Never get in a legal battle with Summit Ave Lawyers that are willing to do pro bono work!"

Kaohly Her is makign the same mistake that previous St. Paul political candidates have done, overestimating the Summit Avenue bikelash and playing coy / being condescending around public works process. That tactic has failed every time so far, and will here too. www.twincities.com/2025/10/07/s...

My conspiracy theory is that North Saint Paul imprisons Little Canadians inside the North Saint Paul Snowman in celebration of Yule, also known as the winter solstice.

I think Lloyd is in there this year.

The absurdity of so many local governments in Minnesota. The costs are crushing everyday people.

Inefficient bureaucracies, big salaries, big pensions.

Minnesota has 3,672 govts for 5.8M residents (1,570 ppl per govt). Likely most in the nation.

This is down from over 9000 in the 1950s.

Chisago County has 4 cities built around a 4 mile stretch of Highway 8 with 3 different police agencies, 3 different fire stations, and 4 different public works departments for 13,000 residents

Inefficient governance is actually a bigger problem in Minnesota... Consolidate municipalities!!!
- Illinois has 6,931 governments for 12.7M residents (1,832 ppl per government)
- Minnesota now has 3,672 local govts for 5.8M residents (1,570 ppl per govt). This is down from over 9,000 in the 1950s.

Lakeville (34th overall), Prior Lake (36), Cottage Grove (48), Shakopee (58), Woodbury (61s, Savage (71), Minnetonka (77), Chaska (89).
