Hey y’all, please amplify and respond if you know someone:

My friends in Chicago looking for an after school (3-6pm) nanny for their two amazing daughters in December.

Their dad’s stage 4 lung cancer just spread, lost their long-time nanny, and the new one had a family emergency. Please help them.

Excellent reporting by Taylor on Cyndy Martin, whose homicide court date is today.

Multiple people have been functionally harassed out of the party just for talking about the charges against Martin. I appreciate the fuck out of Taylor collecting this timeline and reporting on it.
the DFL has a problem with cyndy martin holding multiple leadership roles - like CD8 chair, and CBRC and code of conduct - while facing criminal vehicular homicide charge. she doesn't appear contrite. she appears defiant. she has evaded responsibility from the start

#MSPCyclecast Windy but the streets are not that bad. My morning ride was side streets. I ride with studded 2” tires & even though the streets were technically ice covered it wasn’t slick ice, even when I tested it with my shoes.

I am furious and devastated that ICE was once again present in Saint Paul and that federal agents continue to jeopardize the safety and well-being of our residents. The destruction this White House has caused our city in just a matter of days is unconscionable.

This is the same asshole that arrested me at Brotex. Out there racking up those FTCA complaints…
If I pointed a loaded assault rifle at someone in the street with the obvious intent of intimidating them, I would be arrested and charged with assault (or worse).

This is their playbook: No warning, no transparency, no coordination. Their goal here isn’t safety, it’s to sow chaos, fear, and intimidation.
We’re still gathering information about what happened in St. Paul, but what we do know is that once again, federal authorities provided no notice to local leaders or law enforcement.

Best piece of pie I have ever had was made by "Boos Organic Oven" at Kitchen In The Dessert in 29 Palms, CA. Cherry. But it was the almost impossibly light and tasty crust that made it perfect. Thing is, Boos didn't exist when I went looking for it so I couldn't inquire about the crust.

For the second time in the past week, federal authorities sowed chaos and fear in St. Paul without any warning to state or city government.

One of these days I’m not going to engage in a home plumbing project for myself or friends, but today is not that day. Pleased to report that replacing a simple shutoff valve on our kitchen sink has returned the hot water pressure to normal. Failed O-ring in the old (less than 15yrs) shutoff! 🙄

Minneapolis...coming soon to a venue near you!
Waymo privatized another public street:

Chanel approaching 4th, San Francisco

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

Bike in The Obliteration Room
Artist: Yayoi Kusama

In this room, visitors are allowed to put stickers on the plain white walls and the bicycle. As more and more visitors put the dot stickers on every surface they can find, the white room disappears and is “obliterated”.

I maintain that this is the wildest thing about being an elder millennial. We're entering middle age having been involved in the whole search engine arc of nonexistent to world-changingly valuable to unusably shitty.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea
