Rep Emmer says BE THANKFUL- YOU'RE WELCOME!

Well Fargo reports that despite overall CPI is up 2.7% from a year ago but, an all private-label (store brand) menu comes in at $80 for feeding 10 people is ~3% less!

Total: MASSIVE SAVINGS would be $2.38 for the meal, or $0.24 per person!

My conspiracy theory is that Hopkins imprisons Minnetonkans inside the World's Largest Raspberry in celebration of the city Raspberry Festival and hopes of a bountiful harvest.
There are cathedrals everywhere for those with the eyes to see.

The only strange, masked militant men in emergency vehicles allowed to raid in Saint Paul is the Vulcans.
A large gathering of protesters converged midday Tuesday on a residential stretch of Maryland Avenue in St. Paul, where they suspected an immigration enforcement action was underway.

In the late 40s, we missed the opportunity for St Paul to annex New Canada Township and manage the Phalen Chain of Lakes (Phalen, Round, Keller, Spoon, Gervais, Kohlman) as public space with trails and parkways.

Only Phalen was preserved- 'Keller Parkway' only exists on paper- has no sidewalks.

This is my Roman Empire- What could've been if 3M leaders and developers didn't create a massive anti-growth wall around the Saint Paul called Maplewood once the Minnesota Supreme Court threw out most of its cityhood laws in 1945.

Fix this mistake!

The Bible talks about Saint Paul but doesn't mention Minneapolis.

If we construct this as a 50ft granite statue in a Twin Cities suburb, where should it go? Fridley?

Regular reminder that the next time people lose their minds about a very straight forward, normal project: we don't have to platform them. The project will actually be normal and fine.

Let's decide this in advance. Ok cool, thanks. www.myvillager.com/news/educati...

Centralization Yields Benefits!
Consolidate municipalities and reform Minnesota's shadowy HoA system resulting in double taxation!

Can’t decide whether I should mock St. Paul or be jealous that Waymo flatly ruled out going there in today’s Strib.

I'd love to hear a Decemberist song about the tyranny of the HOA's lawncare rules about the importance of maintaining unproductive land.
Or the insanity of the minimum parking requirements of Maplewood that prevented a Walgreens on our side of Larpentuer.
The Decembrists guy now looks like he could be a mutual angry about local zoning ordinances.

Minnesota has 3670+ local governments AND 27% of residents pay $31B/yr to 7950+ homeowners associations, with many providing basic municipal services- a 'double taxation.' 83% of new housing had an HOA.

My coworkers in Stillwater/ Oakdale flex cheaper taxes, but never mention their HOA fees. smh

The City of Clear Lake is home to 600 people and is surrounded by Clear Lake Township- population 1600 people.

Maybe this is a good time to consolidate resources and merge. They already have the majority of the budget for shared fire coverage and often use county services.
Minnesota ranks among the highest rates of municipal fragmentation in the US: Over 3,670 local governments- 87 counties, 2,630+ municipalities, & 343 school districts.

You can bet that there is plenty of fraud, waste, abuse, & just general inefficiency in throughout the state.

A land value tax!
Minneapolis could make a decent income on LVT on the Minikahda Country Club, which is currently classified as 120 rural acres and is valued at 1/20th the rate of neighboring properties.

New Sticker idea. Thoughts?
I think it would go nicely with 'Annex Maplewood' and 'Dissolve Falcon Heights'

Small businesses are suffering because of the tariffs. Some, like Steger Mukluks in Ely MN, are forced to send explanations in their marketing efforts in order to explain the changes in cost of goods.
