Science fiction scribbling, horror loving, fantasy and crime consuming NHS herbivore bloke. Wrote a bit of film and book review guff over the years.
If you watch one film about the rise and fall of a rock n roll band this year then you should watch this… Quite excellent.

Daughter made me watch it again… and it’s still a great looking film and super tense and wondrous.

Good time, entertaining retro horror lite finale. An all inclusive, upbeat and satisfying finish. Enjoyed it a lot.

A halfway decent 80s western. They were a bit thin on the ground during the 80s so nice to fly the flag for those that were a good time.

On the subject of tender, insightful films about relationships, love and sex, I give you Weekend. A beautiful film and no messing.

Watched this at the behest of my own 2 x kids and it was a big hearted, tender delight. Loved it. And it had a Xmas tree in it so it’s seasonal ish.

A harrowing and deeply unsettling vision of the future… one of my favourite films of the year I think. Quality stuff.
December 21, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Also watched today. Duvet day. Not a Christmas movie.
December 21, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Watched because Rob Reiner movies are ace and I haven’t seen it in an age and also cause it’s technically a Christmas movie…
