Gross. But telling that he paves the way for his proposed standardizing the age of consent at 15 by first talking about sex between people of similar (18 and 15) ages. He completely elides the maturity and power differences that occur with wildly dissimilar aged people.

That discrepancy deserves all the attention in the world. That their public practices allow it to be visible is why I wrote that even by their own standards their practices are broken. Public space isn’t some black site in the Everglades, or who knows where ever else.

If you’re thinking of the type of gray, you find on lamp posts and transformer boxes, the people at DDOT that I worked with called it “battleship grey”

I like the idea of a rotating panel of appellate and district court judges. Broaden the pool to hundreds and randomize selection. But anything would be better than this farce.

I hope he wins enough in damages to cause the people who voted that sheriff into office to feel it in their local tax bill and consider a candidate with better judgement come the next election.

To the extent any of them helped to dismantle the US government, or repurpose it into something that is it odds with the needs of the American people, I think there needs to be discussion about dismantling their personal fortunes and repurposing them to be congruent with the needs of American people
