And by having immigrations make up nearly 90% of the population?

We have an independent judiciary in this country. Robert Jenrick wants puppet judges.

The Conservative Party once believed in the rule of law and our shared British values - no longer.
Robert Jenrick holds up a judges wig like a puppet during his speech to the Conservative Party Conference.

Connoisseurs of Willie Rennie photo ops will of course be disappointed that his pumpkin was not dramatically over-sized.

It's a two pumpkin race.

Tory party conference got you down?

Far-right rhetoric left you feeling scared for the future?

Then why not take a minute to enjoy eighteen (18) pictures of Ed Davey on a pumpkin farm with young carers 🎃🚜

As I recall, in this case an additional problem was that the TfL Streetscene site did not allow for the correct combination of reporting category and pin location on map.

... FoI ends up being used like this only because of other repeated earlier failings. It's much better to have that safety net than not.

Bingo! I have finally found a way to get TfL to properly investigate a common mistake when I report graffiti to them. They often send a 'we took a look and couldn't see any graffiti' response even when the graffiti is very much still there. Their customer service team always blank me when I ask...

... accounts. Although relatively short book, shows Deighton's skill as a thriller writers as large cast of characters are brought swiftly to life with economical text. Deighton is very much a fan of Dowding and a sceptic of the Big Wing school.

Although published in 1977, reads as a rather modern history with its myth busting, emphasis on technology and command/control systems etc. Seems well sourced and informed but lacks footnotes and claims about 'Manston Mutiny' with airmen cowering in bunkers for days strongly rebutted by other...

As the book wisely says: "it makes little sense to write about the butler if Chairman Mao is sitting down to dinner".

Thanks @eddavey.libdems.org.uk - we must make sure all our places of worship are safe places for all. 👇🏽

I am horrified by the images of a mosque in Peacehaven burning after a suspected arson attack.

Everyone should be able to worship free from fear and terror.

Islamophobia is totally unacceptable. Those who spread hatred and incite violence against Muslim communities must stop.

Not quite sure why this topic is appearing in my feeds again, but this advice is still spot on. Even if you are a cat person rather than a dog person. Or if, like any self-respecting Lib Dems, you are a goldfish person.

Brother laser printers are the golden labradors of tech: they're the goodest boys; they just want to make you happy. Also, this remains the best piece of consumer tech advice ever written www.theverge.com/23642073/bes...
Best printer 2023: just buy this Brother laser printer everyone has, it’s fine
Do you really want to think any more about printers than this?

Torn between giving the Politico conference branding 0/10 for bland repetitiveness or 10/10 for ruthless repetitiveness.

It's true that Mrs T was at one point a struggling, unpopular leader of the opposition and that she went on to win.

But I suspect the lessons as to how she won in 1979 are not lessons that would be welcome to those who like to cite her legacy: www.markpack.org.uk/133777/how-m...

One reason Labour leaves me confused: buff.ly/c7m4CGZ
But note too that, broadly speaking, Labour is united on economic issues and divided on cultural issues. While Reform - and the right overall all the more so - is divided on economic issues while united on cultural issues. Which makes the enthusiasm of some Labour strategists to make politics about cultural issues… puzzling.
