Absolutely right. People maybe need to use their imagination to rethink this happening to one 7 year old after another in a small classroom. Or as Kirk said: they are just the good price we pay for unfettered 2A
The horror in that video you saw today has happend to children at Annunciation Church and in Uvalde and in Sandy Hook and countless other schools over the last few decades.

This is a much more useful frame for many reasons
For one thing, it does not assume people's actions follow logically or predictably from their beliefs
For one thing, it does not assume people's actions follow logically or predictably from their beliefs
Change becomes a lot more possible when you reframe it as "How do I get specific people to take a specific action?" instead of "How do I get people to change a belief?"

He is very good at keeping his cool. Which is not to say he is careful or deliberate but even in his diminished state he projects the image of control, at least enough to satisfy the casual observer. I have rarely seen him crack like this.
