I am curious to what extent you think heritage is a real thing or not?
The idea that I had to continue something my ancestors believed in or did, never made sense to me. And the idea that the dead somehow hold sovereignty over their descendants seems downright tyrannical to me.

Václav Havel first coined the term "post-totalitarian" to describe life under communism after the 1960s. The all controlling state and the ideological zeal was evaporating. So the communists created a distortion of reality that perpetuated an illusion of a continued totalitarianism in people's minds

If you take a step back, what you see right now is exactly why Realism is a dead end. A core part of realism is this idea that there are no ideals, and no rules based on ideals. Trump and Putin act very much on those notions. And look where it has led them? One disaster after another. Ideals matter.
Inasmuch as Breton Woods no longer serves the Soviet-era paradigm, Realism is equally irrelevant.

Crypto scams have completely screwed up an entire generation of young men. Left them with an utterly vapid understanding of economics, where everything is just a zero-sum game to screw everyone over.
They expect it to be a pump and dump scheme and this isn’t Tesla/Gamestop.
