This week, we welcomed a colleague from the Federal Printing Office’s digital team, who joined us at @digitalservice.bund.de as a user researcher.

They bring a unique expertise and vast public sector experience to the table. I hope they also stay in touch with their previous organisation.

At @digitalservice.bund.de, we ‘lost’ a few colleagues to other public sector units in the past few years — but I see these moves as a win.

We stayed in touch and highly value each other’s expertise and insights. We regularly look out for opportunities to learn from another each across orgs.

Did you two work together in the past?

I would have positioned them differently, placed them higher. But neither my house nor my business. I bought them as a replacement for some 80s-style curvy plastic numbers.
