“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. I am about to do something new; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
41. 10/11 A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R. R. Martin (audiobook). Aegon is so funny LMAO I love him.
42. 10/12 Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. 10/10 perfect dark fantasy novel, practically made for me, there is a depiction of Hell superior to Dante in this book

HOO BOY, I have not been updating this thread. Let’s resume:
39. 10/07 Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. Wow I hate Thomas More now.
40. 10/09 Eros the Bittersweet by Anne Carson. I don’t remember much about this essay 😬

The loaves and fishes are referencing the miracle of Jesus feeding the multitude in the gospels, not socialist realist art

This one is actually pretty straightforward; the first poster is wrong bc the Bible says Jesus died for people while they were still sinners, that is, for people who are *not* in the church. (Romans 5:8.)

The thing is that he’s heavily using trashy spy fiction as a source and so his other novels might(?) be more free to mention women without a mandatory description of their breasts etc.
