"Accountability is coming." That's a good campaign slogan for Democrats in 2026 and 2028.

The vast majority of poll-sniffing punditry just refuses to take on board this very basic feature of human psychology. People make vibes decisions based on factors they're probably not fully conscious of. And then they cast about for a respectable-sounding rationalization for that decision.

If I could summarize the core of the rot in America's psyche, it's the need of everyone to have an opinion on everything.

There was a time when people were humble enough to say "I don't know enough about that to have an opinion."

Now they just regurgitate whatever their media bubble tells them.
