Damn I missed it! Is there a wait list?

Both the website and the app are embarrassingly terrible, but especially the website.

I read the food lab front to back like a novel right when it came out before I had even heard the term "urbanism." If there's another crossover event you know about, I want in.

All too accurate. Don't post in a hurry friends.

This is phenomenal. And all 599 accurate.

Why is the rent so damn high in LA? Simple economics: the demand for housing is extremely high and our housing supply is extremely low.

One thing I love about parking reform is how it moves beyond old partisan stereotypes.

We should be pro regulation *and* deregulation if the result of either is making sure our communities and our kids have what they need to thrive into the future.

More of what we want, less of what we don't.

I'm loving Rinck amendment 84-removing off-street parking requirements citywide, striking pages and pages and pages of antiquated text.

We can put design first, rather than starting with the minimum parking and designing around that.

Aren't those strike-thrus pretty? Congrats @electroberts.bsky.social and the rest of the Shoreline City Council!

Tonight in Shoreline, another set of minimum parking tables is set to bite the dust as the Shoreline city council fully eliminates parking mandates citywide.

Hi Kevin - Could you send me an email at [email protected], and I’ll make sure we have staff look into this?
masonthompson.bsky.social
I'd also point out that in Bothell we don't *have* primaries, and only two of four races are contested for the general

This post is an FYI for city electeds

We walked to Westlake to catch the train instead of wait in the line

Before washington state passed hb1110, a suburban elected official near me equated middle housing to ethnic cleansing.

Saving this to my phone for the next time someone asks how we're going to ensure the new housing is affordable after we upzone.
shanedphillips.bsky.social
When four homes replace a SFH, each new home is about the same price as the original, and at 5 units or more, the new homes tend to be more affordable. But the critical comparison is to the 1-for-1 replacement — a mansionization, in other words.

Thank you for saying this. We're doing our best to make it a great place. ❤️

That is being worked on! Doing one cool thing doesn't mean we don't care about other cool things. :)

Government should do cool stuff like design the best skate park in the area with a roof over top of it. Our community should be a lot of fun to live in.

Thanks to Bothell Parks and Grindline for listening to our skate community and giving them something to be excited about!

Apropos of nothing, my elementary aged kids absolutely love riding transit and will ride the train just to ride the train.
