@seatsixtyone.bsky.social The connection corridor / shortcut at Brussels is open, two long moving walkways down, out into a corridor and up again to the ICE. No annoying and narrow trip to the escalator/steps.

Eurostar from St Pancras just after New Year, Saturday morning, connection for the ski train at Lille (we're on till Brussels). Check-in & boarding predictably awful, but I have to applaud them keeping some seats free for bags (which in our area weren't needed).

This seems like quite a big deal to me, but the topic is complicated and the TS analysis behind a paywall, so it's not being widely reported? In any case Bahnblogstelle seems to have a good summary of the TS article:
