9/11 was kind of the "9/11" of country music

Short answer is baggage liens. Fancy luggage was effectively a form of credit.

me: fandom is so weird you get super invested in the doings of these other people who don't even care about your opinion most of the time and your entire day is based on whether they did good or feel bad and then you have to feel the same way

mom: This is just parenthood

Marine One has a new low-altitude flight pattern that goes directly over my house and Jesus that is a loud helicopter.

SurveyMonkey is the only one I have any experience with but they had decent options for that using IP address tracking to limit responses.

Matt Damon is like the one exception to this but yeah, it seems tough.

You think that dry walling is easy because it’s such a common and necessary repair.

It’s not, and it’s worth spending a little extra time and money to do the task right.

Hard-won lessons in drywalling: Trim-Tex tearaway bead, Certainteed No-Coat corner bead, and FibaFuse fiberglass tape all make the process go much more smoothly. Worth the price.

If you ever need to finish that kind of transition in the future, get the Trim-Tex tearaway L-bead. Might need to go to a commercial supply place. The equivalent Clark Dietrich stuff they have at Home Depot is much harder to work with in my experience.

You have to make sure the children can’t escape, of course. You can’t make an Omelas without breaking legs.

Drywall finishing is so much harder than it looks. Hosed myself on the first large drywall job I bid, “how hard could it be?” I naively thought. Took like a week longer than I planned to get it looking right.

good timeline: kelce bombs film career, messy divorce in 5 years and a banger divorce album

neutral: full tradwife, four kids. no new music, middling Vegas residency in the 40s

bad: kelce replaces chris pratt, swift changes her name and flirts w/ MAGA, we hear about his dick for six more albums

Hiring is expensive, it would almost certainly save money to just properly fund this rather than having to replace all these teachers.

This is messed up but it sounds like it’s on the Council too. $230k for one year is not a serious funding commitment.
As word started spreading earlier this year that DCPS would no longer sponsor green cards, teachers and their allies started reaching out to parents and councilmembers to try and urge the school system to reverse course. The council acted, adding just over $230,000
to the school system's billion-dollar budget for a dedicated attorney to help file required green card applications.
The apparent victory, though, was short-lived. By August DCPS was saying it would not spend the money, which became available on Wednesday as part of the city's budget for 2026.
"The single-year funding allotment designated by the D.C. Council would not sustain resurrecting a pilot program that can take up to nine years of financial and administrative commitment to complete," said the DCPS spokesman.

what I do like about Swift's music is that it's so cinematic. you think I mean that one way but what I actually mean is how in feminist film theory, they talk about the cinematic imagination and observation of the self as though you were a film character. "pretending you're in a music video" thought

While we're on the VVitch, it's important to remember that decades after the Salem Witch Trials, Benjamin Franklin would follow Cotton Mather around and make fun of him for believing in witches.

My son died 11/5/2016, About 2 months ago.
Before he died he had come up the stairs from his man cave to tell me l had to listen to this song. I was watching t.v. so i kind of put him off. Never to be dismissed I went to the computer to listen and watch Disturbed performance on Conan.I was speechless, he was amazing. I grew up with Simon and Garfunkel's version. I love their version but this version from Disturbed leaves me speechless. Hate to say so, however I had to tell Chris he was right. This was an awesome rendition.Much more emotional than Simon and Garfunkel 's version.Of course he said he knew he was right. I love playing this. Makes me remember my son. Thanks

StarCraft was 1998, 1999 was sort of a slow year except for Tony Hawk.
