"Gov Newsom signed a law today that rolls back the 25-percent tax on cannabis.

The bill was introduced in by Assemblymember Matt Haney.

Haney said the legislation was needed to give the state’s legal cannabis industry a fair chance to compete against the untaxed and illegal cannabis markets."

I authored AB 1181 to protect California firefighters from known cancer-causing chemicals called per-fluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) — by banning them and other cancer-causing chemicals from firefighting equipment. The bill now sits on the Governor's desk awaiting his signature.

Firefighters put their lives at risk every day on the front lines saving lives, responding to emergencies and taking care of the vulnerable. We have an obligation to ensure they are not exposed to cancer-causing chemicals from the very equipment designed to keep them safe.

...pardoning people who are on video violently attacking police officers with metal poles, ending billions in federal aid to sanctuary states and cities (that would mean California), cancelling the appointments of tens of thousands of migrants who were legally following the process, and on and on..

And those are just a small handful of the dozens and dozens of executive orders already signed: withdrawing from all climate change and global health cooperation, stopping all efforts to reunite children separated from families by immigration enforcement...

If anyone you knew had a different idea about what this guy and his people are about, they should be quickly disabused of that. This is what this is.
