The U.S. is desperate for doctors, but is turning away international med students. Visa hurdles and residency bottlenecks are leaving future physicians sidelined while the shortage grows buff.ly/z89IpOp
America is running out of doctors. Congress must step up
The U.S. can’t afford to lose more doctors. Expanding international students’ access to American medical schools is a good place to start.

Pure comedy.
KENNEDY: If Vietnam came to you and said, 'You win. We're gonna remove all tariffs and all trade barriers. Would the US please do the same?" Would you accept that deal?

LUTNICK: Absolutely not. That would be the silliest thing we could do

KENNEDY: What's the purpose of reciprocity then?

Even *if* you accept Stephen Miller’s (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, you’d *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.

His argument fails even on its own terms.

Some appear to claim family photos with foreign leaders diminish us as a nation, if I understand them correctly.

I have been in stark opposition to Modi since he was governor, prior to becoming President. That said, this is clearly a congenial photo. @edwardluce.bsky.social

23andMe customers take this seriously. Delete your genetic sample ASAP. The privacy agreement is void when the company dissolves. @hankgreely.bsky.social @artcap.bsky.social
PSA: Delete your DNA from 23andMe right now.

It just declared bankruptcy. And California’s attorney general has issued an unusual “consumer alert” about how to protect your privacy.

Have truly lost patience with the New York Times’ editorial coverage of AI, which has basically degenerated into industry cheerleading.

They are completely misrepresenting what most academics believe about AGI.

I detail some blunders here:

With a Democratic Party this feeble, Trump hardly needs friends. Perhaps democracy dies in half-heartedness. Truly dispiriting.
