I always feel strange doing this sort of thing but Defector.com has had an incredible January, just a ton of really good stories on a wide range of topics, and I suggest subscribing to it. I am biased, obviously, but I am really proud and grateful to get to do this the way we're doing it.

@davidjroth.bsky.social in 2010 some friends and I were at Yankee Stadium and saw a guy in the stands in a Doug Waechter KC Royals jersey and I have to tell you, we spent a LOT of time trying to decide if it was actually Doug Waechter or not. What an odd choice.

Just picked up a Franklin-Christoph Model 20 Marietta with their SIG Fine nib, and I gotta tell you, this is the nicest-writing pen I've ever had. Just a gorgeous piece of work.
