Gibson Firebird V-12

I'm a big fan of the Gibson Firebird. I thought I knew about all the different variants (bicentennial, Thunderbird, Mandobird, etc.), but I just found out Gibson made a 12-string version in 1967 and 1968. It's got the non-reverse body style. There are two mini-humbuckers, and each one has its own tone and volume control. There's also a 3-way switch. In fact, everything looks like a normal Firebird except for the 6/6 split headstock.

In one of the season one commentary tracks one of the writers says part of the aesthetic was to make people wonder if the color on their set was off, which is more or less lost in the digital age.
