Just a man who wants to bring a smile to your face.
Don’t wanna share everything I got this year. But there was one book that I loved so much I have to share.

I’ve been wanting to get into these strips for a long time. This is the perfect way to start.

Can’t think of anything off the cuff this year. It’s been a very busy year with a lot of ups and downs, but the ups have been very wonderful and I feel like I still got a lot of spirit in me. I like to think my life’s mantra is this: the best is yet to come.

Have a Merry Christmas.

In case it’s not obvious, yeah, I’m excited for Collector’s Choice vol 2. 2026 is shaping up to be an downright fever dream of a year for us classic cartoon freaks. I cannot wait.

So okay. Wow.

We got a lot to talk about with the new Looney Tunes Collector’s Choice set. A lot. Took me a good minute to process what is coming. A lot of it good news.

Slowly and quietly resuming my Rob Reiner-a-thom lately. As of writing this I decided to give THE BUCKET LIST a shot.

POLAR TRAPPERS is probably slowly becoming one of my favorite Disney cartoons on every rewatch. It’s hard to explain why; there’s just something joyful about its’ use of music and movement that makes it stand out.

Well I can cross owning this off the bucket list!
December 19, 2025 at 8:03 PM
You know me, I bought this for Polar Trappers.

smoking a joint with Wario on this porch in the winter would fix me
When I was a kid I used to bring Wario over to this spot and pretend he lived here

Today is going to be a good day.

Fun fact: got this for 15 bucks. This had a crazy history: it just sat in someone’s basement for decades. Whoever sold me this clearly wanted it gone. Check the comments for more details.

Going through a Rob Reiner marathon (of movies of his I’ve never seen) lately due to recent events. STAND BY ME is one such case and I’m very much digging it.

Wish I grew up with it.

A recent addition to the collection.

In case you’re wondering why I bothered with this DVD, well, perhaps the other screencaps will offer a clue.

It’s been very very depressing learning that the best Disney can do as a movie studio in the late 60s is THE JUNGLE BOOK.

Got an overall B for one class this semester. All to worry about is a final for another class and I can rest for a bit.

That too so far is an B. If this final exam is good I’m confident it’ll be a upper B.

Oh does it feel so good to take this photo.

I waited almost 20 years for this moment. Back in 2005 the folks gave me the second volume as a Christmas gift (who you can tell by that rust spot it has). For decades I hoped I could get the other volumes.

With time and money on my side, I did.

And now in another installment of “Holy crap you got it?”

Yup. I did.

I now owe all the Donald Duck Treasures.

Another one of those songs from CHRISTMAS EVE ON SESAME STREET that has stuck with me, with a message that has stuck with me as well. It’s a sincerity and warmth that SESAME STREET represented to millions of children over decades of childhoods…

“If there was one project to put in a time capsule and send off to space, to let the Martians know what Sesame Street was like, it would be that Christmas special.”-Sonia Manzano.
A song firmly lodged in my heart during the holiday season ever since I first saw this special, and it also nicely demonstrates the communal atmosphere that SESAME STREET represented, with a winning human cast alongside the Muppets…
