My attempt at getting a conceptual handle on the reigning capitalist form of sexuality of the past century is now free to read online t.co/b79qDzqYlQ
What Was Sexual Liberalism?
A real movement which breaks with sexuality as the seal over a liberal separation of spheres is yet to come.

In my experience, courage is usually the product of love and/or solidarity. When we are deeply invested in each other, we are more likely to take risks that we wouldn't take out of mere principle, or for the sake of people we feel disconnected from. Our alienation mass produces cowardice.

Not at all a fully formed thought: Charlie Kirk’s assassination had way more salience than (eg) the Minnesota lawmakers’ because so many people, particularly media elites, were in a parasocial relationship with him via the podcast/etc

Does the vastly divergent response to the Israeli embassy shootings and the Kirk one weigh against zog theory?
maxfox.bsky.social
Thinking about the moments Charlie Kirk and I spent together. It was brief, intimate, surprising to us both. I was always sure he remembered it from time to time

Quick little fact check here: Israel has armed the Burmese military for decades, including during the Rohingya Genocide. Protesting Israel’s genocidal regime directly and materially benefits the people of Myanmar.

They’re STILL putting these up it’s absolutely wild
Photo of a billboard that says:

Protesting Israel but silent on Myanmar? Makes you wonder why.

Just to be crystal-clear about what’s happening: this practice was explicitly prohibited a few days ago by the 9th circuit court. The Trump administration is flagrantly and knowingly violating a court order. We can only speculate about what they’re trying to trigger.

Border Patrol at a Home Depot in Los Angeles days after the 9th circuit affirmed a court order that purports to block this exact behavior. They don't even know who they're chasing! This is insane. Send them all to jail.

He lost his wallet, which had his green card, and made an appointment in Philly to replace it. There he was handcuffed & taken away with no explanation. “His wife, who speaks little English, was left behind and kept in the building for 10 hours until she was released to her granddaughter.” He’s 82.

The Trump admin has consistently claimed that it had no control over the fate of the Venezuelan men it was paying El Salvador to imprison without trial.

Today's prisoner swap shows that was a lie. The United States, as El Salvador told the UN, has always maintained custody.

Amazon Ring is re-pivoting back to surveillance, including introducing a new tool to let police request footage from Ring users again.

The reason they pivoted away was like...4 years of horrendously bad press, atrocious brand recognition, and hard pressure by activists around the country!
Amazon's Ring goes full founder mode, taking the company back to its crime-fighting roots
Ring founder Jamie Siminoff has returned to the Amazon doorbell business and is reinstating its crime-fighting mission while emphasizing AI efficiency
