Six years ago, I wrote most of the Tragedian dialogue for Pathologic 2 in iambic pentameter. I'm back now doing the same for Pathologic 3. I figured it was helpful to write a guide on *how* I did it – in case I get hit by a bus and the team has to carry on without me.

apparently, years after i had left, i was still mentioned as "the minecraft guy", an apocryphal tale in the office.

in 2025, this company no longer exists. its office is empty. most of its workforce laid off.

and yet, i can still play minecraft anytime i want.

my first software job was a salesforce consultancy that did a lot of fed contracts. i was depressed, crunched, mismanaged. so i started coming in late and played minecraft bc none of it mattered. my manager caught me once and was furious. i didn't dislike her, but she def had company loyalty...

there's like absolutely zero effort to understand /why/ cartridge games cost more and had variable pricing. also ignores the video game rental market which conveniently disappears right as video games enter than $60 msrp era that everybody uses as a baseline

Some inappropriately creepy golf content - Sente Mini Golf (1986) has DIP switches that add photos of missing children to the attract mode (and to enable a "LOCATED" message per kid). These profiles were replaced with new ones in updated ROMs.

Modern operators seem to leave them on, a lot. 😨
