Karen Attiah, a black woman, got fired for
A: accurately quoting what Charlie Kirk said about Black women
B: Accurately observing that most white Americans seem permissive of white violence.

It's bullshit, but almost expected in this white supremacist country.

I'd go further—it's not just that so many of these decisions are unsigned and unexplained; it's that there's so little about how the Court even *decides* these cases that is publicly understood:

177. The (Not-So-)Interim Docket
Justice Kavanaugh's attempt to re-brand how the Supreme Court handles emergency applications is belied by how the Supreme Court is actually handling emergency applications.

The diminishment of prominent Black journalists is the latest indication that a period of progress in America has ended and a period of retrenchment is in full bloom.

All the people being fired for telling the truth about Charlie Kirk—many of them women—in the aftermath of his death demonstrates that his legacy was never one about universal free speech.

It was only ever about about straight, white, conservative Christian men spouting bigotry without consequence.

I hired Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2017, and worked with him closely until he was murdered by the Saudi regime in Istanbul -- simply for expressing himself.

I put my safety on the line for years to push publicly for justice and accountability in his murder.

Noel King talks to Karen Attiah, of The Washington Post, about the column which was filed before Khashoggi disappeared. He wrote passionately about the need for a free press in the Arab world.

So let me get this straight: the purpose of legacy media now, is to venerate Trump, white supremacy and Christian nationalism (and also Israel…) and any journalist of color who doesn’t go along will be fired.

1️⃣ Help Zohran win with a mandate for his agenda.

When it comes to the general election, Z's the frontrunner. But when it comes to delivering his agenda, our team is still the underdog, for the state must agree to fund it.

A million general-election votes for Z would send a clear message to Albany.
