I've been picturing Michael Chiklis as Ed Mackey while reading the Parker books, but I'm sure that's just because he was Vic Mackey on THE SHIELD...

and now that I'm reading FLASHFIRE, having seen PARKER, it's causing cognitive dissonance picturing him as Melander

AND...

I think PARKER is a good Parker movie (separate qualification than 'a good movie' e.g. THE SPLIT is a good enough movie, but it's not a good Parker movie and SLAYGROUND is not a terrible movie, but it's a TERRIBLE Parker movie)

FLASHFIRE is the one Taylor Hackford's PARKER is based on and full confession, I've been picturing Jason Statham as Parker while reading the books starting with COMEBACK

Yeah, he was king of the ensembles which I don't count when I'm deciding on my favorite 'Bronson movies'. ONCE UPON A TIME should probably count cause he's one of 3 leads, but it makes it easier to choose a favorite 'Bronson movie' if I discount it on a technicality
