Taking action to restore public safety, support small businesses, and protect residents is essential to the health of our city. Chinatown’s next chapter can be one of light, vitality, and opportunity.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and my commitment to this city is personal. We have made real progress, and I remain focused on the urgent work ahead to ensure Los Angeles works for every Angeleno.

The past year was not easy, but Angelenos showed who we are when it matters most. We stood united and looked out for our neighbors, proving that this city’s strength comes from its people.

New York and Los Angeles are cities defined by diversity, creativity, and community. There’s so much our cities can share, learn from one another, and build together.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who gave their time and resources to support our immigrant families. Together, we continue to show that Los Angeles stands with dignity and humanity at its core.

In response, my office coordinated a holiday donation drive to support families impacted by ICE raids. Angelenos came together to collect more than 1,000 toys and essential items. The response is a reminder that this city continues to meet moments of uncertainty with compassion and community.
