Wait, what? A school is suing a child because the child’s mother was impoverished? And the school won? What did it win, exactly? If you say parental rights and indentured servitude of the child, I’m going to barf.

This happened in Altadena. Wonder if last year’s fire disrupted the bear’s normal territory.

When I was at a K-12 science educators’ conference last year and saw the booth for a kit teaching this tech, I had a hunch the kids would do something cool with it.

I learned about The Prisoner’s Dilemma in a poli-sci class at a top ranked midwestern university.
Apparently all of the administrators at all the top ranked universities missed that class.

Ditto. What the actual mess was that? It was through a university-I’d be curious to know if there were repercussions for the academic advisor.

I have trouble calling the people in charge of the current administration “public servants.” They are grifters and liars who do not deserve the title.

Which is such a shame. I’ve been crazy impressed by a lot of NY Mag’s stories over the decades, but then others have made me question the editorial judgment there.

I get they are in charge, but they have to have bills paid from somewhere, from some account. There’s the slush fund for ICE for sure. But are they moving money around from other places? There’s always a paper trail.
