Through collaboration with NorCal Resist, my office has received troubling reports regarding new ICE activity inside the John Moss Building targeting Afghan asylum seekers living in Sacramento.

I want to be clear about what we know so far and how we are responding. [2/2]

Yesterday the President fell asleep, yet again, during a televised fake Cabinet meeting staged so that each of his courtiers could heap praise on him, praise for which he couldn't stay conscious. He woke up just long enough to spew racism. Why is this not being treated as an emergency? >

Keep your eyes open on this one, friends. Our votes are our own personal business, and the right to have our votes count is a fundamental cornerstone of our democracy.

This feels a bit on target.
I dunno man it just really seems like American universities have lost the plot over the past 30 years or so and while I too love college football and basketball, the people making key decisions at them don't seem to care about their educational mission at all

This needs to be said more.
The reason the top 10% of income earners pay more than half of all tax revenue is NOT because they are taxed more than ever.

Their tax rate has been cut FIVE times in the last 25 years.

They are paying more because their INCOME has increased astronomically, where the income of the bottom half has

If you aren't worried about Trump's crypto dealings, you should be.

Trump's corrupt crypto grift provides a way for anyone from corporate interests to criminals seeking pardons to entities seeking government contracts, to secretly bribe the president with huge sums of money.

Wait … what?

(Context: DOE has loan programs for professional degrees, different terms than, say, a humanities master. They’ve been taking a knife to that classification, with public health and now nurses.)
Doctor Here 👋

-The Department of Education just said nursing is no longer a professional degree.

- #Nursing is one of the most important and respected professions. Our healthcare system depends on them.

- #Nurses save lives!! They must be respected as professionals!

UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine soccer and the Big West championship. Been looking at AI search results that first say Irvine is the champ with a win 1-0, then the next min SB takes it 1-0. Both are adamant in the certainty of the answer.

The game isn’t for another 3+ hours.

It was quite bizarre that Justice Jackson granted the motion to stop snap benefits on Fri evening. This is a good explanation of why, by a legal scholar at Georgetown.
If you’re trying to catch up on what went down with #SNAP late last night at #SCOTUS, here’s my attempt to read the breadcrumbs on the “administrative stay” issued by Justice Jackson—and why a justice so critical of the Court’s grants of emergency relief to Trump still granted temporary relief here:
