WIC, which for decades has fed kids and new moms, could run out of funding within two weeks.

Furloughed federal workers are stressing about bills and seeing promised backpay threatened.

The regime’s mass deportation operation, however, continues on uninterrupted during the shutdown.

Priorities.

"While new moms worry about formula for their infants and furloughed federal workers stress about next month’s rent or mortgage, the administration’s mass deportation obsession will continue uninterrupted," writes @tusk81.bsky.social

This says everything about this administration’s priorities.

I spent more than a decade at The Post. It was good to me and I was proud to work there. I’ve largely refrained from being critical since I left. But this framing of the special counsel probe is embarrassing and flatly wrong. Stunning, but not. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

They're making big mistakes, moving too quickly and burning bridges before they're capable of shutting down the opposition.

The Trump regime wants to expand its war on women, girls, and others it deems inferior. It makes up nonsense terms to advance a radical right wing agenda.

NEW: I spoke to clergy and faith leaders who've joined protests at the Chicago-area ICE facility.

Three say they've been shot with pepper balls, sometimes while praying.

All say ICE is also violating their religious freedom, and one is arguing it in court. religionnews.com/2025/10/07/i...

The Trump administration has cancelled 4,304 deliveries to food banks so far this year, refusing to deliver 94 million pounds of contracted-for food. Food banks simply can’t feed people enough anymore. Millions of Americans are going hungry as a result.

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.

Very hard not to conclude that the Dem messaging strategy of focusing on healthcare has been highly successful at shaping public impressions of the shutdown fight so far despite being hated on here to the point that major accounts were actively adopting GOP framing to attack it

Others were detained and tortured while supporting Tanzania's opposition in June.

And Ugandan opposition figure Kizza Besigye was abducted in Nairobi and extraordinary renditioned to Kampala last year.
