And what elements are those? Slaf's skill level is just fine.

None of those players brings the same elements as Slaf (except perhaps Mack), and it's also safe to say that his draft class wasn't of the same quality as several of those. When you compare him to Lafreniere, Kakko, Svechnikov, Berniers, etc., his stats are solid. Bigger guys take longer to bloom.

For now, at least.

I would be okay with him replacing Texier first. Agree that Davidson needs to go back. Don't need prospects sitting in the stands.
