What has always impressed me about Kapanen is the subtle things he does to keep possession for his team, like that poke of the puck along the boards right back to Hutson. Smart. Habs got steals in the 60s in back-to-back drafts with Kapanen and Hutson.

I'd like to see Kapanen on the power play. He was very effective in that role the past two seasons in Liiga and the SHL.

The top line, each being -3 (not just Slaf, BTW, who had a strong defensive game), was a stat you can throw in the garbage. The broken sticks goal and two empty netters....not indicative of how they played at all.
