Also too: if your school complies with white supremacist demands, you are not getting a good education. You are instead being indoctrinated into a white supremacist conception of the world, which will fail you because it is based on lies and bigotry.

Well...that was cathartic.
I know lots of you have strong opinions on this topic, so I hope this will be of interest:

I want to really, REALLY second this point. And given that these bots will be ridiculously expensive, once again admin will spend money not on people to "help" people. Coming from our union I am extra disheartened.
Even the NYT knows this is a bad idea.
Partnering with these companies to ruin an entire generation of children is shameful.

This is a hell of a claim but I mean it sincerely: Superman & Lois may be the best on screen Superman since Christopher Reeve. And my boy Tyler turns in the performance of a lifetime as Clark. *cries in comic book*

Dress it up in progressive language but you're cheating yourself by not doing the work. This is the worst thing about AI: millions of students refusing to learn, taking zero interest in the world around them, empty in mind and heart. Your punishment is the person you will become.

It's not just the raids--- people are dying while in ICE custody, and we need to pay attention to this.

A Haitian woman died in ICE custody in Florida in April. At the time ICE said her death was "under investigation".

Just had a dispiriting conversation with a teaching colleague who has had students say to their face this year they don't want to read a hand out (dealing with a core skill of the subject studied).

Students sat in class with ChatGPT up, asking questions the handout answers.

It is only when I must scroll through all the reels I sent in order to access reels from friends that I realize the sheer MAGNITUDE of nonsense to which I subject these people. But happiness is knowing that at any time, someone somewhere is rolling their eyes at me and heaving the deepest of sighs.

I am somewhat notorious amongst my friends for my texting typos. That being said, "Y" is a ridiculous letter and if you choose to put it in a word then you can have rythym in your labryrynth because I am not looking up how to spell those words everytime I use them.

New way of doing basic tasks when my executive dysfunctions: narrate like I'm an Olympian.

"Did she...is she...is that...a vaccuum?!?"
