Anyway the problem with a permanent vibescession caused at least in part by social media posturing is that while it might screw Trump in the short term it really screws the politics of generosity and solidarity in the long term. Believing times are bad makes people more selfish.

What this really is, is “I came to this angry because of the Big Account that wanted me to be angry about it, and then I looked at it and the reason I was angry was wrong, but I’m still angry so there has to be some way to justify it.” Very common on here.
My favorite thing is the people saying “You worded it badly,” because apparently it is your responsibility to disclaim every potential bad-faith reading by people who are absolutely champing at the bit to read you in bad faith.
