TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

It’s funny bc if she were interested in clearing Homan’s name she could….launch an investigation and do that!

Vermont Senator Peter Welch asks why the attorney general of the United States has zero apparent interest in figuring out what happened to the $50,000 undercover FBI agents gave border czar Tom Homan.

She... doesn't take it well.

THE CHICKENS ARE FINALLY COMING HOME TO ROOST

Ryan Walters is out & the investigation floodgates just opened. The Oklahoma AG launched a full audit of Walters’ entire tenure as Superintendent, and it’s about damn time.

Also the education dept website’s being scrubbed of his culture-war nonsense.

Serious question: What's stopping the State of Illinois from arresting Stephen Miller & charging him with incitement?

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.

They’ll frame this as a win - “see we’re not pushing anything on people just giving parents choice” - but let us note what fucking losers these 43 families are

1. 4 months ago, The Supreme Court gave families a right to opt out of LGBTQ+ education in schools.

Now, in Montgomery County, Maryland, where the case originated, the results are in.

Only 43 families out of 160,000 students have exercised that new right.

You do not as a person have to suddenly question everything you thought you knew about a person you admire and respect bc you find out they aren’t “legally authorized” to work here. What fabricated bullshit is this.

This article is a good distillation of how dumb everything is. Roberts was well liked and good at his job and the school district was improving but now people are torn bc he wasn’t legally allowed to work in the US. But like - who cares?!? He was doing a good job! Maybe the law is dumb?

Ian Roberts spent most of his career in Des Moines urban school systems building a reputation as a hands-on administrator. After his arrest by ICE, residents are coming to terms with the fact that the man running g Iowa’s largest school district was not allowed to work in this country.

Ian Roberts rose through the ranks of American education with talent, charm and a riveting back story. He was also hiding a shocking secret.

Look. Invading our own country is about as straightforward a case as you can have for impeachment. The GOP abandoning the Constitution is kind of the only story there is and it gets no coverage.

Guys. I just had a crazy idea. What if the President DIDN’T deploy troops in American cities. Just a thought. Have we tried that before?

This fucking guy still doing this lmao. Dude spent his life being wrong about his political party and its intentions AND YET that will not stop him from being a pedantic bitch. “None of you would be daring to post things” yes because there have never been dissidents. Just outing yourself as a coward

If we were living under fascism, none of you would be here daring to post things. You'd be erasing your social media accounts and keeping your head down; you'd know that peacocking your faux-bravery on a network would expose you to being disappeared.
You have no idea what "fascism" really means.

The Treasury Department is developing a one-dollar commemorative coin, bearing the image of President Trump, for the nation’s 250th birthday. But it’s not clear that a coin could legally feature an image of Trump; an 1866 act established that only deceased people could appear on U.S. currency.

We are here because policing in the U.S. has been this way for generations. This is why ICE acts with impunity. They know they can act this way.
