This. Not retaining the data has long been a standard practice. The danger is when governing boards or governmental bodies try to change that policy, as I’m sure many are seeking to do. Serious Big Brother stuff.

and then the good stuff it is used for (medical advancements <- good) gets suffocated because all the air in the room is going towards how AI can do your art, critical thinking, and law enforcement for you <- bad
