My Sins.
The Ones These Poems,
Are Penance For.
Repentance & Absolution -
Continuing,
Sought Forever: After Death.
There Was Supposed To Be A Tomorrow.
But I've Forgotten,
What That Tomorrow,
Looks Like.

A Teacher Who Had Her Pupils Buried,
Before Her.
Survivor's Guilt At A Continued Existence,
When They Didn't Continue Existing.
Now -
Old Lady Is Almost Out Of Options.
What Does Tomorrow Look Like,
Again?
My Baggage?
Trauma So Heavy -
I Cannot Speak It Aloud.
Only Write It As Hidden Metaphor,

I Was Supposed To Be Dead By Thirty.
Twice Comorbid.
Now Unlife Purgatories;
Of Slow Spiral Destitutions.
