Lover of Music. Beatles are my boy band for life.
Today I've explored music from County Donegal, Florida, London, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, back to London and now I'm taking a trip to San Francisco to shake it with Garcia. Later on I'll jet over to Belo Horizonte to check out Lô Borges. I'm enjoying #5debutalbums7074.

Bringing out Donny Hathaway for #5debutalbums7074. I'll do that until I'm satisfied and then move on to BT Express.

I've got Gram and Rory up next for #5debutalbums7074. I sure do love the way Emmylou and Gram sound together.

#5debutalbums7074

I've listened to a lot of really good albums today and this just might be my favorite of the batch. Strong contender.

#5debutalbums7074 A critic said of Kristofferson, "He's the worst singer I've ever heard. It's not that he's off key - he has no relation to key. He also has no phrasing, no dynamics, no energy, no authority, no dramatic ability, & no control of the top 2/3rds of his 6-note range." Ouch.

Started out the morning with Ananda Shankar's self titled debut for #5debutalbums7074 (delightful). Now it's time to get kinda funky with Baby Huey.

I'm going to have to start listening now if I'm going to figure things out for Rich's #5debutalbums1014. He does like to keep us on our toes. Tips are very welcome!

Looked through the records for #5DebutAlbums8084 and came up with this comical mix. I have Boy and Murmur on cassette and From Her to Eternity, She’s So UnusuAl, and Violent Femmes on CD. I might find a few others but the early 80s are not my bag. Suggestions are welcome!

Rich has got me researching music again. I've been listening to these albums today. Are any of them going to find a place in your top 5 for #5debutalbums0004?

Good grief…adult content for the cover?

Time is running out for the #5albums5060sfinal and I don't know what do do. Tell me what to pick (and why, because I sure can't figure out why one of these is better than the others).

I went on a @johnlogsdon.bsky.social style buying jag this week. Most were inspired by #5albums50s60sfinal. I just couldn’t help myself.

Here’s The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of my top 13 for #5albums50s60sFinal. I still have time to make some changes. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am!

Listened to a lot of Beatles albums tonight for #5albums50s60sFinal. Of the 3 I cut tonight, the White Album pained me the most.

More tough #5albums50s60sfinal cuts this weekend. It has been quite challenging to chop this list down.

Here are the cuts from this weekend for #5albums50s60sfinal. Ouch. On the good side I’ve gotten to listen to some great music.

I dug out 36 records for #5albums50s60sFINAL and have another 30 CDs. Started with Sly’s Stand! and moved on to Love. I think both are out, but Sly wins in this matchup. I like Love, but I love Sly!

I'd really like to be able to spare some points for Terry Riley's mesmerizing In C. I know it would be like throwing them away, but it might just be worth it to me. Give it a try if you have some time during your #5albums50s60s2 exploration.

I listened to these (+ Hancock's excellent Maiden Voyage) last night. I enjoyed all of them, but Dusty and Dave are the only ones that will advance for further consideration in my #5albums50s60s2.

After listening to about 30 jazz albums for #5albums50s60s1 I think I've narrowed it down to these 4. Monk's Music, Getz / Gilberto, and Oliver Nelson all ranked high, but these had just a little extra heat on them. If you intend to vote for jazz, which ones are you considering.

This is the 95th album for me from #5albums50s60s1 and I have to say that I'm very pleasantly surprised. Totally new to me and I enjoyed it very much. I don't think I've seen much chat about it, but I thought it was worth a mention.

#5albums50s60s1

Checking my notes: Super long and jammy, but in a horny way. Holy hell, where has this been all my life?

I'm about 1/2 way through and if they can keep it together this is a serious contender. Outstanding.

#5albums50s60s1

I'm nearly 1/2 way through the list and these 3 were pleasant surprises. They aren't going to make my top 5 but I enjoyed them just the same. How are you enjoying the journey, Richard @richards7370.bsky.social? Finding anything good?

Nina would have a hard time moving forward in #5albums50s60s1 even if she didn't have 5 albums in this set (Wild is the Wind being the 5th). I'm on my 3rd of hers today and they're all excellent. I lean toward Sings the Blues and Pastel Blues. Any thoughts on these?

#5albums50s60s1

Nice batch of albums today. Hit up Townes, Jorge, Django, and Nina today. Even made some time for The Beach Boys' Summer Days (and Summer Nights). I don't know they'll make it to my final list, but TVZ and Nina are sticking around for a bit longer.
