No surprise; the same people demanding return to office are also demanding we don't build more office space.

Time to spend public money wisely. Let people work from home; don't build offices we don't need.

Guelph has nixed online voting after determining no supplier meets the security requirements.

In case you don't understand why the security requirements are impossible to meet, nobody explains it better than Tom Scott.

Guelph just opened a new bike bridge!

This is an important first step in extending our accessible to all ages and abilities (AAAA) bike system to the eastern half of the city.

Next up: 3 km of improvements along Emma, Stevenson and Cassino to connect all the way to the east end trail system.

The GO was on time, comfortable, and at $20/family, far better value than driving. Plus we got to meet some other friendly families on the train!

Looking forward to even more trips per weekend, and to the day we can rely on Guelph Transit instead of driving downtown.
Wow, big crowd out here in Guelph for the first weekend train. Lots of happy commuters and families going to Toronto for the day.

Thanks to everyone who pushed to convince Metrolinx that there is demand for weekend service.

What happened to the bike lanes on Woodlawn in Guelph @guelph.ca ? There's no construction notice on the city website but all the lines were removed this morning.

Just got a really interesting follow up report from @guelph.ca telling me all about their downtown square engagement process. Amazingly, not a single person in the whole process said to make it pedestrian-only! Not even me, who has a pretty strong memory of doing just that. Fascinating!

All this to flip some bits in a computer ledger. What world do they expect to rule over with all that money?
This was announced as 150 million people across the country were under heat alerts.

Fossil fuel interests spent nearly $100 million on Trump's re-election. Then the industry pumped $19 million into his inaugural fund.

They're cashing in at the expense of the rest of us.

Guelph won't even dare to close a single one. We are, I suppose, uninterested in mind-blowing success.
“To use a technical term, it blew my mind,” said Vancouver’s former chief planner Brent Toderian…”They weren’t lazy about it—they didn’t just throw up barriers and ban cars. It might be the best bargain I’ve ever heard,” Toderian said. #Montreal
